School rule:
We have to ride to all school-sponsored activities such as away games, concerts, competitions, and other events on the bus even if we have our own cars or our friends do. Only in special circumstances are you allowed to drive yourself, and you have to get permission from the dean in advance and have your parents sign a form. Friends riding with you have to go through the whole routine as well. If your parents go to the game and you want to ride home with them, they have to sign you out with the coach, and you can’t go home with someone else’s parents unless you’ve gotten the transport release form signed by your parents. This applies to weekend events as well! It’s lame.
Law: I’m not into marijuana, but I don’t think it should be illegal because it’s less harmful to the public than alcohol, and the health risks are minimal if used in moderation. It’s also major waste of police resources. Plus, if it was legalized the quality could be better controlled, and it could be taxed which would bring in revenue for the state.
