Help match colors for my bedroom?
I’m buying new sheets in Aubergine (which is what I’ve been looking for for quite a while now) which is a really dark purple, like eggplant purple. I need a new duvet cover to go along with the sheets and I’m not sure what color to match with it. I was thinking black satin with bows but I have no idea where to find something like that. I would love to hear what you would suggest to go along with it. My room is still painted the colors from when I was a kid (pink, yellow, purple and Lime Green) so it’s a little crazy and I’m not planning to match with that because I will be either painting that room to match the bed or moving out before that. Oh and one last thing, my drapes are black. Not like Gothic black but like chic, stylish black. Thanks for your help!
I love the color ideas! The black satin bows are the perfect idea (I lovveee the idea!!!) Micheals or Johannes (craft stores) may have the bows, maybe even Target or Walmart.. I would do the purple sheets, with black satin bows, and black pillows. The curtains can stay, maybe tie each indiviual one with some purple satin bows? PbTeen has some realllllllly nice stuff, but they can be pricey. I would keep a look out in the reg stores (Target, Walmart, stuff like that) But be careful with there stuff, because they are over priced, and very cheap products. Maybe if you have a night stand that is small you can paint it purple with black knobs.. Maybe some pretty purple flowers in some vases.. Or a purpleblack rug. Maybe some plain white walls to make the room seem a little bigger, and more chick, and simple so that your parents [or whoever] can change the bedroom into somthing else when you leave. Or maybe, if you have a very big house, which I dont [lol] they keep your bedroom the way you want for when you visit. If your moving out in less than 2 years, I would keep your room the way it is, and save the money for when you move out.
