I’ve got mousey brown hair and want to dye it red. How can I get a deep rich Crimson red on such mousey hair?
Should I dye it a darker colour before hand or what? Thankyou
Mousey brown hair! LOL Haven’t heard that term since beauty school!
All you have to do is lighten it. Bring it up to a dark blonde/light brown stage. (You might have some brassy tones in there, even though I doubt it because your hair is ash brown which is the correct term for mousey brown… But don’t worry, these brassy tomes will work in favor for you because the will enhance the deepness of the red)
Once you have reached the dark blonde level, add the red color over it.
It will be deep, rich and shiny.
Remember that red pigment has the biggest molecules (Beauty School language) meaning that will wash off quicker. You have to be on point with it if you want to keep it rich looking and healthy looking.
