Difference in comfort; between AC-3 and AC-2 tier classes in Indian rail?
I knew the no. of berths is less in AC-2 and we have a curtain for privacy. But is that AC-2 gives a smoother travel (may be the shock absorbers on the wheels are better) than AC-3 coaches? I wanted to know since cushioning matters for a pregnant woman travelling long distance.
The only difference is of berths and nothing else. Curtains are added benefits in AC-2 van.
As far as pregnancy is involved –
by paying some extra to the railway staff – you can arrange for some cushion and bedsheets (it would also be provided free of cost).
No doubt – AC-2 – must be preferred over AC-3 – in your case.
