How do I cover blinds, let in light, and have curtains/valance too?
I’d like to cover the blinds with something sheer and have decorative curtains or a valance also. Do I need a double curtain rod for this, or can I do it with a single one? Thank you.
You will need a double rod, or if you have your blinds inside mounted, that means if they are inside the sash, and you have room for about another inch there, you can use a tension rod, for your sheers, and a single rod for your valance. I use the tension rods in my bathroom and kitchen because I use a swag, with a rod, and a 24″ panel for the bottom, and I use a tension rod for the 24″ panel. They are adjustable by just twisting to the right size. The ends are covered with a rubber tip and are about 1/2″, they would be heavy enough to hold a sheer.
