So I bought this beautiful little chocolate siamese kitten. He’s amazing, extremely intelligent, and noisy…and the thing is, when night time arrives, he starts going absolutely crazy attacking anything that moves. This includes a curtain which wasn’t moving till he started playing with it!
Now my curtains are really expensive and nice, and he’s already creating rungs in them from his claws! I have tried shouting at him, have tried picking him up and locking him in the spare room as punishment (and to calm down) for 10-15mins, but he just doesn’t listen…he’s right back there destroying them!
A solution I would think would be to stop him from going so wild in the evening. But during the day, all he wants to do is sleep, and I work from home, so don’t have time to tire him out so he sleeps at night.
Any tips from the experts please?
spray them with a mixture of water and citrus juice, cats hate the smell of anything citrus. Also rub the inside of an orange peel on your sofa/table/chair legs, anything that you don’t want scratching
