Flexible stencils for painting ornate statues?
I am wanting to know if thin, flexible, slightly-adhesive stencils for painting statues exist.
I am painting two statues (one of the Blessed Virgin Mary and one of St. John both at about 3.5 ft. tall) and I am wanting to paint a baroque-style damask pattern on the clothing of the statues such as this:

The problem is that the parts we wish to apply this pattern to are full of many folds and curves (just like a draped dress) as these statues were carved very realistically.
Is there a pre-made stencil or “make-it-yourself” stencil material that could tackle this project?
Any help appreciated!
God bless.
Polyester (Mylar) seems to be a good material.
