Fixtures – door/cabinet handles, curtain rods — do they need to be the same color/metal?
We’re installing cabinet fixtures in our kitchen. We have dark brown cabinets and my husband bought some dark brown fixtures for them. I think they blend in and that it shouldn’t go together, but he says that it should because our fan and curtain rods (also in the kitchen) are the same color. Thoughts?
And what about fixtures throughout the whole house, should they all match?
It’s personal. Some like everything to match. Not me. However, I like things to look neat, not chaotic. But that is subjective. You’ll just have to strike a compromise or thank your lucky stars that your husband has a creative eye.
