Is it ok to put a curtain against a slide door in the Living Room?
Just want to know if it’s old -fashion or it’s modern to put a curtain against slide doors in the living room
If there are other windows in the room, it is important to have continuity in the room. Curtains are o.k. provided it does not interfere with the operation of the sliding door. One way pull drapes work very well with the sliding door. Drapes may provide more privacy and less glare for TV viewing. It can help keep out heat or cold (depending on the season).
To blend in and not draw attention to the sliding door, match to the walls. For contrast and further dimension, use color or design or a print.
The decision is up to you but I do not like bare windows. Too cold and antiseptic – no matter the view.
