I live in a double wide want to add upwards. is it possible to build up with new floor and roof supports.?
We live in a double wide but have worked so hard remodeling everything and we love where we live. Is it possible to build up if we take off the roof add flooring then standard house I think they are called tresses not sure on spelling of that. I want to add three dormers to make a guest room and music room upstairs.
Do you know the company that made your double wide? If you do then you should contact them to see if it is actually strong enough to hold a second floor. Otherwise, I would not recommend it, especially if it is made like a trailer/mobile home.
