Shoes draped over a power line?
I have seen this in several different locations of my city. What does it mean when someone ties a pair of shoes together and drapes them over a power line? Does the specific location have anything to do with it?
The urban legend is that it signifies gang territory or drugs being sold there, but honestly, a lot of kids probably do it just for kicks. Once the shoes are up there, you can’t get them down. Sometimes kids just do random things for fun. If it’s in a bad location, it might have a more sinister meaning, but it’s probably harmless.
