I have 3 fully functioning kidneys, will this cause problems or is it a benefit?
I am 55 and in good health. I have 2 fully functioning kidneys back to back on my left side, and one fully functioning on my right. All the “lines” are present and of course they all feed into my bladder. As I grow older will there be problems or should I “donate” one? If so can it be one of those back to back ones? For additional info I have O+ blood.
Never heard of 3 kidneys before. If all the tubes feed in correctly, no reason why you couldn’t donate one. But I’m not a doctor, you should be asking an expert. Seems like you got my other kidney, I was born with only one functioning. I may need it back !
