In Mac OS X Snow Leopard, what does the button on the top right of a window do?
I’m getting a Mac soon, and I know that on the top LEFT of every window, there’s three buttons for closing, maximizing, and minimizing. But on the top right, there’s one button and I do not know what it does.
That button exists in some applications in OS X; not all.
That button is to toggle the toolbars and menu items in and out of view.
For example, if you are using Firefox on the Mac, you can click that button and the toolbars, URL field and all other menu items collapse so you have more visible space on the web page you are viewing.
