Imagination Movers – Stir it Up $10.40 Scott, Dave, Rich, and Smitty–the Imagination Movers–make music that’s as much for parents as kids. While their lyrics are aimed at the short set, their bouncy tunes evoke pop and funk acts like Smash Mouth, Devo, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers (without any profanity or sexual innuendo). The first DVD from the New Orleans-based quartet, Stir It Up, features a heaping helping of material from both… |

The Good Life $9.79 Like his musical pedigree, the debut release by Justin Townes Earle is a mixed blessing. In Texas songwriting circles, having Steve Earle as a father–who gave him his middle name in commemoration of his creative hero Townes Van Zandt–is the sort of burden that a basketball-playing son of Michael Jordan might carry. Half of these cuts that sound like Lone Star roadhouse ready-mades, dimly remembe… |

9 $6.85 Not quite as endearing as his raw and seductive 2002 debut, O, the second full-length album by Irish troubadour Damien Rice finds him taking a more slapdash approach to his lyrics and arrangements, with balmy tracks like “Rootless Tree,” “Coconut Skins,” and “Me, My Yoke, and I” seemingly made up and recorded on the spot. Strange then that it took so long for 9 to actually arrive, with just a hand… |

what colour should I paint a living room with mustard gold carpet?
I just bought a house and can’t afford to update. The living room has a 70′s mustard/gold carpet and I would like to spruce up the room. Any suggestions?
This can be turned into a fashionable asset if you choose the correct colors for the walls, trim and other accent pieces. I always get a bunch of paint samples from the hardware store and tape them to the walls. Its best to let them hang for a couple days as colors will change at different times of the day, in different lights.
I’d be inclinded to use a very pale shade of the carpet, something neutral but complimentary. Use accents like bight yellow or red so that the room looks pulled together. And if you have painted trim, make it bright white. If its’ wood, I’d leave it alone if its in good shape.
You can focus less on the carpet and more on furniture and other room items. Like using slip covers, or making your own wall art out in various ways they show on HGTV.
