How to wear solid colored leggings?
I really want to get a pair of leggings in a bright color. Most people say my style is very preppy and casual. I want to get them now so I can wear them in winter… but how can I wear it without looking like a fashion reject? What is the classy way to wear them?
First, buy a color that isn’t too overwhelming. Go for a bright crimson or very saturated neutral tones like navy or gray.
Then, plan the rest of you outfit. If you really fall in love with a really bright color like Lime Green or neon orange, stick to your guns. As long as the rest of your outfit balances out your bright leggings, it will be okay. That means, the brighter your leggings, the more neutral your outfit should be (that means: black, white, grey, a darker shade of your tight’s color, a darker shade in general)
If you feel nervous the first time you wear them, think of your leggings as just a flash of color. Wear them with a skirt, dress, or shorts, and a pair of boots and you get a really awesome spot of color at your knee. It is instant fashion and not too crazy.
If you plan on buying leggings that end mid-calf or higher, do the same, and wear shoes that aren’t colorful.
Also, if you plan on wearing a pair in autumn/winter, colorful tights + coats = awesome.
