It depends how large you want the stripes to be. If the strips are narrow, paint your whole room a solid, lighter color. Then get a ruler and some blue painter’s tape and put a border around where you want your stripes. Paint inside of the blue tape and let dry. Remove the tape, and you have your stripe!
If the strips are equal, paint it in 2 stages. Measure your walls and block off where you don’t want the first color using blue painter’s tape. Paint the open areas with your first color. Let dry, and then remove the blue painter’s tape. Block off the section you already painted with the tape, and paint the open areas your second color choice.
