What is a synthetic, polyester, raw silk like fabric called and where may I purchase it?
I know that polyester is polyester and raw silk is raw silk. I am looking for a synthetic raw silk made with polyester.I have a gown that is polyester, but looks like raw silk with slubbing, and has a lovely sheen. It is very light weight, and I am interested in what the fabric is called. I have not seen it in my local Joann’s store, nor have I seen it on ebay. It is not silk shantung; the back of the fabric is the same as the front and doesn’t have that satin back. It is not like Joann’s silky essence, nor like a cathay bridal satin I have purchased. Those aren’t as crisp as this gown’s fabric and they don’t have the body this fabric has.
