Can i modify a yellow cake mix to make a red velvet cake?
I want to make red velvet cupcakes very fast and not from scratch but i couldn’t find red velvet cake mix at the store. I bought yellow cake mix instead hoping i could just modify it a bit. Can this be done and how?
Red velved cake is actually a chocolate cake made red with food coloring. I’m sure you can turn any cake red with food coloring. But if you can go back to the store and exchange the yellow cake for the chocolate cake mix it will be more authentic.
