Restoration Hardware….?
Has anyone here ever bought any furniture fron restoration hardware. I’m going to buy a dining room set from there and I just want some reviews fo the quality of merchandise.
I used to buy period hardware from “Restoration Hardware” when I was in the contracting business. While I have not bought furniture from them, I have friends who have. The furniture I have seen has been high quality. I do know that all of their furniture is made in the USA, while some of their other offerings are imported. Their reputation has always been built on the highest quality.
The company has seen some ups and downs in recent years. They tried to grow quickly by opening a chain of retail showrooms for their furniture. It still operates over 100 retail stores in the USA and is seen as a viable business. Their stock is traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange. Some in the financial community see them as a takeover target because Sears Holdings Corporation (think Sears and K-Mart) now holds some 13% of their outstanding shares of stock.
If I was in the market for new furniture, and liked something made by Hardware Restoration, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy.
