My In laws dog is visiting and peed on my silk drapes. Is there any way to spot clean the area?
T he dog peed on the part that drapes onto the floor (which is the entire bottom). If I have to dry clean the panel I will have to dry clean both panels because I am afraid of a color change. Can I just spot clean them?
It depends on the material for whether or not it you should have it spot cleaned or professionally cleaned. If you want to attempt to spot clean it on your own, try one of the following in an inconspicuous area before going crazy cleaning the whole thing – try either vinegar or a product called Nature’s Miracle – both will neutralize the smell and prevent further “accidents” and then launder as usual. I’ve used both options for our dog who has the occassional accident so our home doesn’t smell like a bathroom.
