Which programming language can I use in Windows to do character string searches with?
For the sake of solving puzzles that have words hidden in them, I want to build tables that simulate a puzzle grid and then go through the grid looking for certain character strings. The strings can be straight or jagged. In the mainframe world, PL/I works great, but I need something to run on my PC. I prefer that it be free or inexpensive. Thanks.
