Calling all decorators-need ideas for a padded valance?
I had a padded upholstered cornice made for me, but it is too plain. It coordinates with my dining and Living Room furniture. It is straight across and then it steps down 2 times on the left and right to make the sides a bit longer. They added beautiful tassel trim to the bottom and the sides, but the center is too plain. The fabric has small diamond shapes and the trim matches beautifully, but the center needs something and I don’t know what it could be. I keep thinking some kind of a medallion in the center like they used to put on wool blazers only a large one. Does anyone know of a site where I can look for this or do you have any ideas? It looks so plain. It’s a picture window so the valance is around 110″ inches long. Thank you in advance
It sounds like this was not an inexpensive valance. I wouldn’t attempt to do anything. I would call the seamstress and see what they suggest, if anything.
It sounds to me like it has enough decoration.
