Stable Electronic Configurations ?
Why do some elements require two electrons to become stable and some elements require eight to become stable ? Is it that elements can either become stable by having two or eight electrons in their valance shell or is it that only some elements become stable when they have two electrons and some when they have eight electrons in their valance shell . If elements can either have two or eight electrons in their Valance shell , then why do metallic elements that have three electrons in their outer shell donate all three instead of donating only one .
