What type of window treatment to use for higher than average windows?
I have 2 windows in my bedroom that are 48″ W by 36″ H. The sill is about 55″ off of the floor. I do need them covered completely at times for privacy. I feel that floor length would look odd since there is so much space below window. They seem a little bare w/only a mini blind or Roman Shade.
You could use shudders or blinds, but I really think that using floor length curtains isn’t a bad thing. I use floor Length curtains in my basement, and to me, it feels less like a basement because it ‘tricks the eye’. You could also put a dresser underneath the window to make it look as though the window isn’t as high as it really is.
